About Us
The Union of Muslim Health Services Organization -Ghana is a Non-Profit Organization comprising of Muslim-Owned health facilities in Ghana. Incorporated in August 2022, the group seeks to assist the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service in realizing the objectives of Universal health coverage.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership of the Union is opened to all Muslim-Owned Health facilities (In-patient) in Ghana. This applies to health centers, clinics and hospitals in good standing with the Health Facilities Regulatory Authority (HeFRA). There are currently ten facilities under the Union across six different regions in Ghana.
VISION
Promotion of optimal health for the people of Ghana.
Governing Board
The Union has a governing Board with twelve Members and a Secretary. The members of the Board Include:
- Dr. Jabir Alhassan: Surgical Specialist (Acting Board Chairman)
- Dr. Alhaji Annor Ernu Morlo: Retired Human Resource Manager, Ministry of Health (Acting CEO)
- Dr. Abdulai Mohammed Rabiu: Medical Practitioner (Member)
- Mr. Alidu Alhassan: Educationist (Member)
- Dr. Basiru Ibrahim: Medical Practitioner (Member)
- Dr. Madam Hawa Haruna: Social Worker (Member)
- Lt. Col.(rtd) Dr. Joseph McAli: Retired Military Officer Physician (Member)
- Dr. Mohammed Marzuq Abubakar: Office of the National Chief Imam(Member)
- Dr. Mohammed Hardi Shaibu: Chartered Accountant(Member)
- Dr. Mohammed Issahaku: Medical Practitioner (Member)
- Mr. Musah Bashiru: Public Health Nutritionist (Member)
- Dr. Mundashiru Yahaya: Resident in Surgery (Member)
